Search the board for ways around specific glitches, otherwise... yeah if you mean how to avoid ALL glitches? I guess see the first post below you. The game has some glitches and bugs, some more severe than others.

Buy the PC or PS3 version, they don't get corrupt saves. They do get the normal quest bugs though.

Well, I've run into glitches that lock up my XBox so I have to manually shut it off and reboot it. Too many of those cycles can't be good for it. But otherwise I don't think most of the bugs will cause any hardware failure. Two of the larger bugs are the "DLC / save corruption bug" and the one that blacks out your screen when you try to enter the Strip. Apparently if you wear the Old Cowboy Hat, it prevents that second bug. I can't remember how and where I found the Old Cowboy Hat (I might have looted it from a dead Powder Ganger during a gun battle in Goodsprings, but I honestly don't remember), but having read that advice, I put it on my head and kept it on the whole time I was on the Strip and didn't run into any problems.

For the time being, avoid the Come Fly With Me quest. It apparently triggers a bug that will corrupt your save files, so you could lose all your progress and have to start over from scratch. Keep reading deeper into this forum and you'll see what other people have run into and how they might have managed to work around some of the bugs.

Should I wait for the patch to fix the bugs and Glitches or avoid this game at all cost?
