I will wait at least a year also and be reading the forums to see if the game is actually playable

I'm more likely to buy a game from Bethesda. Far better a game than Oblivion or Fallout 3.

Skyrim is their best game yet and I have had very few problems running it (no game-breaking bugs, and only the 2-7 second freeze problem which ENBseries fixed).

I'm certainly going to be buying the next TES game when it comes out.

Good luck with that, the forums of any game are where the naysayers usually go to spill their bile. I doubt youd play any game if you took to heart what forum people say

The game runs fine for me and my computer is close to the minimum specs. It crashes less often than TF2, and I've enjoyed it immensely.

I do recognize that someone people are having a lot of troubles getting the game to run, and there are many on the PS3 who are forced to retire characters who advance too far, because of lag. This svcks, it is understandably frustrating, and people enjoying the game shouldn't turn a blind eye to it.

But along the same lines people having a horrendous time getting this to work should remember that many people are playing this without a problem and enjoying it, and I suspect most will eagerly pick up BGS's future titles.

i dont get why people say its broken, i play on xbox360 and don't get the fast patches/mods to fix stuff, yet i find it hard to find a bug, and for stuff they havent fixed, they did release the game at bad timing bieng thanksgiving then christmas giving them not too much time to patch things. Wait till after christmas, and im sure they will get down to buisness.

I recently bought a second copy of Skyrim (for the household) and will buy a third in a few years time when I'll have a PC to play it. Before that I'll probably buy a bunch of DLC for my xbox 360.
I'll preorder the next TES game as soon as it's announced, and probably will end up owning mutiple copies of that as well.

For me Skyrim is in my Best Game Ever top 5, right after Morrowind.

Depends on who you're talking about.

30 or 40 Forum members complaining about the game: Probably not buy the game and complain on the forums

3 or 4 million people who don't frequent the forums: Probably pre-order

Oh who am I kidding? Everybody knows the angry forumites will be pre-orders too.

I don't understand why are you posting here if you play it on PC, Is it just to fill this post with comments to support bethesda?
This post is directed to PS3 owners who have a REAL problem with the game because it is broken.

I will. Just won't pre-order ever again. I'll wait six months so there's patches and a construction kit.

I will not buy another piece of trash Bethesda game. Not only is my game a jittery mess with no sense of consistent quality, it's also a snorefest after 40 hours. Seriously switch the combat tactics for enemies, there is no point in giving so many options to to fight with when every option is shallow and all are equally usless. I just watched a video of a guy go through the entire catalog of enemies using nothing but punches. Lazy game design. Some type of innovation would be nice. It was really cool to steal other games mechanics but at least add something new to the mix. Again lazy programmers and game designers. The cartoony art style is pretty cool though. Sense of scale should be more dramatics. It takes all of 3 minutes to get up the highest mountain. Lazy lazy lazy

I don't know. I don't "take heart" from anything Bethesda. Pre-ordered Skyrim - Big mistake.

I bought Oblivion nearly a year after it came out. The fixed bugs and unofficial support certainly influenced my experience with the game.

From now on, Bethesda is as good as the support they give to their games. Anyone can quote me on that.

I'm always a fan of waiting. I just got Dragon Age and The Witcher. Patched, all DLC, dirt cheap.

A Bethesda game has more bugs, so that's a consideration... And mods are needed to iron out some of the poor design choices. A year is probably smart.

considering the strife of PS3 gamers I'd say they lost a few fans. Even if they'd managed to fix this game to perfect, the damage has been done. If you took out the horrible frame rates and lag, you still have a game littered with bugs and glitches. But the lag and crashes is the deal breaker. Luckily for Bethesda the PS3 fan base is much smaller than PC or xbox so their losses will be minimal.

Me personally... I will never buy another game from them for a console. And I sure as hell wont buy any game from them anywhere near the release date. I payed $60 to play this game, not beta test it

Depends on the quality of the CK and how easy it is to mod certain things. I like modding the game, so I most likely will buy the next game at the time its CK is released. If I don't have enough spare time though, I'll wait for a fully patched GOTY version and enjoy it together with awesome mods provided by the community. I will never buy an ES or Fallout game for my PS3!
