How bad is your nostalgia for Skyrim?

Post » Mon Nov 18, 2013 12:41 am

So I've had Skyrim since July of this year, and already I have nostalgia for the game. Usually it takes me some time after I finish playing a game to get that feeling, but I have it for Skyrim when I hear certain songs in the game. Some songs remind me of how much of a noob I was and how scary/exciting the game was just wondering around in the wilderness.

How great is your nostalgia? What do you think of when you get that nostalgic feeling?

The music really brings me back to my early days on the game. Nighttime music especially reminds me of when I first left Riverwood and was making my way in the night to Whiterun, seeing Dragonsreach against the Aurora.

Haven't really got much nostalgia yet apart from release day, but I think that I'll feel more when TES VI comes out

I was the same way with Assassin's Creed. When the second one came out, I missed the first game. When brotherhood came out, I missed the second game XD

Though I'm taking a break from Skyrim again, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvsMn05WtaI

Reminds me of my first playthrough every time. Welp, time to move on.

The music is really nice, but doesn't bring back that sense of nostalgia when I hear Morrowind's or Fallout 3's, or when I hear the opening of Oblivion... It'll no doubt develop when I haven't played the game for a few years.

No. I think nostalgia works best if you do not own the game anymore.

Since I got the game last Christmas, I have plenty of nostalgia for my early play-throughs. The game still feels fresh, but I have feelings for the Helgen start in particular.

I don't really have 'Nostalgia' as I'm still playing Baldur's Gate 2 and Morrowind as much as Skyrim. Just bought Daggerfall 2 months ago for the first time and have had fun with the game. Good games last with me for a lifetime.
