According to Wikipedia:

Daggerfall - 487,000 square kilometers. Around twice the size of Great Britain.
Morrowind - 25.9 square kilometers.
Oblivion - 41.4 square kilometers.

Not sure about Arena.

It's 127,000 square kilometers according to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1089535-finally-some-real-numbers-on-daggerfall/

Meh, that's still enormous. I guess Bethesda exaggerated with the "twice the size of Great Britain" comment.

Arena doesn't really have a size. The cities aren't connected to each other, and the land scape just keeps generating as you walk away from cities. So the only way to get from city to city is through fast traveling.

So... it's infinitely big?

I know Daggerfall is the largest game map ever created, though. It's Beth's claim to fame :D

What do you mean? Morrowind is one seamless world, nothing like the disconnected levels in Arena.

That is right though. Remember, you are driving all the time in Burnout Paradise, so your sense of scale might be a little screwed up when comparing it to oblivion, a game where you walk all the time.

No, anvil is the size of a portion of a city-block.

Is it really that surprising that they are so tiny? you can run across anvil in less then a minute.

Well I don't know where you live, but I don't think there are many shopping centres in my city that are about 10 square miles in size. And few parks that are 16 sqm.
