So I'm trying to build the teleporter without committing to any faction. My problem is that I'm in sanctuary trying to build it, but I don't see any option to build it in the workshop. I'm at the point in the Molecular Level that it asks me to ask one of the three factions for help or build it myself. What am I doing wrong? I don't have the special option to build the thing. Do I need to be on a special lot? Progress in something I wasn't aware of? I'm bum rushing the main story.

hmmmm, I have no idea - I chose a faction and they taught me how to build it and the pieces then showed up on the menu to build.

My problem with this quest is the damned wiring and connections. Do I just need to build a gazillion generators and hook them all up to all the pieces so they all work and are active? Do I need to connect the pieces together in some way?

My problem is I can't get that one part to go on top of the other. It absolutely refuses to snap into place.
