I am playing the US version of Fallout 3, running windows 7. However, I have a Japanese keyboard and Japanese version of windows.

Does anyone know what key I need to press to bring up the console? I have tried every key, with/without shift, alt and ctrl.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try the ` button on the Right of the "P" Key.

Also, Vista/7 doesn't like the console very much. Maybe this might give an insight about it: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Fallout_3_console_commands#Troubleshooting

Yes, my keyboard is very similar to that. I have read that other people with Japanese keyboards have been successful in using the ` button, but it didn't work for me.

Sadly, it says in that wiki link you provided that the console is not compatible with Windows 7. So I appear to be [censored] out of luck.

The wiki link did provide a way to try to "fix" this little mess.

Yeah, I don't thing the "fix" will work for me because my issue is not the same. However, I am investigating the FOSE route - I think that may be the way to go.

EDIT: I downloaded FOSE and the google console mod - it did the trick. Thanks for your help.
