Is it possible to complete Finding the Thieves Guild without joining.

Im at the meeting and im forced to choose the armand option asking to joing to get FInding the Thieves Guild Mission completed.

That adds another mission to join the guild but i dont want to join.

I supposed once you find the meeting and armand tells that they are the thieves guild mission would complete but not at this point.

Ive read those wanted pictures of the fox and beggars. Ive also heard about a note where it says about the meeting but dont know where to find nor if it would make the mission to be completed after talking armand without the need of asking to join the thieves guild.
