How can I help NCR win?

Post » Wed Jan 26, 2011 4:45 am

So Mr.House is dead, not sure about Yes man because I beat him with a pool cue, stopped there, and if I didn't do the quest "For The Republic" can I still help NCR. I'm at the end of the game were Mr.House told me to plant a bug on something. So how do I help NCR win, if possible?

Have you talked with Ambassador Crocker at the embassy or Col. Moore at the dam?, by the sound of it your probably past the point where you can side with the NCR.
*Yes Man is always available as he can't die permanently*

I beat yes man with a pool cue I keep going back to my game and he isn't coming back up, and I can loot him. And I did do one quest for Ambassador Crocker, it was to help with the Kings problem in Freeside I forgot how I dealt with it, though I did a few missions afterwards he wasn't there anymore, and I looked for Col. Moore at Hoover dam, she wasn't there.

He always comes back, there is no way to kill him permanently without say using mods or the debug console on the PC. He's probably standing outside the Tops.

I looked for Col. Moore at Hoover dam, she wasn't there.

Unless you killed her she's at the dam, probably near her office in the lower levels. If the NCR questline is still attainable you should have the quest from Crocker to report to Moore making her easy to locate.
However by the sounds of it you've past the point of no return in Mr. Houses questline and its not possible to side with the NCR any longer. And as you killed house the only option remaining is Yes Man. Who can't actually die he just comes back.

Well actually no, I saved before I killed any important people, I just wanted to see if it was possible to side with the NCR after I've done so many things with Mr.House

There's a quest that comes up, "Don't Tread on the Bear", that warns you about when you're reaching the point of no return. If you've failed that quest, then you can't support the NCR any more.

Darn, well atleast tell me this, cause its gonna kill me if I don't know is it good to side with House in the end, because my ending sounds really good, but theres that one part that says New Vegas was doing great and the streets ran efficient and cold, but with NCR it sounds like it was a better ending, so which one is a better ending? Like whats more good karma? if only there was a way I could go back and find a way to help the NCR without losing anything I've done.

All the endings have their good and bad points. It's up to you to decide which ending is better.
