How can so many folks have no problems....

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:42 am

I was just wondering why there are different experiences with reguards to game issues. I mean I have logged 45+ hours of game play on Xbox 360 slim, running off disk(that how I play all my games, heck I didn't even know you could put them on the HDD until a few months ago) & have had no major issues. I just don't understand when, I guess the disk are just copies of a master. How does one explain this?

Differences in hardware and system settings. And YES, that does apply to consoles too, especially the 360, because there ARE different versions of PS3s and 360's.

Hell, until your post, I didn't even know there was a slim model 360.

I feel ya there. I've played for over 100 hours (Heck, my wife has played a little over 50 also) and we haven't ran into any problems at all!

The 360 version of the game runs beautifully and looks amazing.

The great thing about the console versions are once they have created a great experience for a system, everyone using that system gets the same great experience.

With the PC the joys of running the game at a higher visual spec than real life are sometimes offset by individual niggles, internal hardware and software issues and conflicts and the fact that some people running even supercomputers don't bother to keep their systems tidy and in good order.

However patches and MODs will all do a great deal to ensure everyone has the best experience they can regardless of the platform they use to enjoy the game.

It really is a great thing that such a great game is available to such a wide audience.

My slim 250GB 360 seems to handle Skyrim pretty well, I've experienced I think 2 minor glitches in my many many hours of play.

I'm running on the newest slim 360, 250 GB installed to HDD, with no patches (got to sign up soon) and have only experienced two bugs/glitches, the dead lydia at the wedding glitch (which honestly I find hilarious) and one in a quest where you are looking for ceremonial weapons and can't continue the quest without getting them in the right order.

I found neither to be a big problem and after reading this board concluded that the PS3 or PC versions must be much more problematic. Also I haven't noticed anything bad about textures or graphics but if they get better after the patch I'll be delighted!

Its mainly the PS3 version that gets insufferable lag, and the patch only helped a bit. So I'm getting an Xbox just for this. And maybe to play with some of my friends who obviously made the right choice and bought an xbox instead of a ps3.
