I got some frost salts for Arcadia and she let me take all her stuff. Arcadia really likes her fire salts and called me a thief when I took them. Instead of paying bounty or butchering the guards, I decided to go to jail and escape. I got all my belongings back but now I have a bounty of 25 gold. Now all the guards say "Wait, I know you".

Oh come on. It's 25 septims. why can't you pay such a small fine.


If you really want to keep 25 septims just get sent to jail and use the bed.

Its just that... I don't feel very bad ass from paying off the guards. I kind of want to butcher them but then I will have a bigger bounty. I might as well pay off the bounty and assassinate Arcadia..

Would you feel more badass for doing time? If so, punch a guard in the face for saying "Wait... I know you," then click the bed in the cell to serve your sentence.

You can make 25 septims in a couple of seconds by selling Iron Daggers. Or an ingot...or a plate.

Could just use the console, provided you're on PC. "paycrimegold 0 0" will pay your bounty. It'll remove the gold from your inv. but at least it doesn't take away stolen things and it doesn't place you in front of the town's "jail".

OR you could go the route of butchering every guard within a hold. Then there will be no one to oppose you. (temporarily, until they respawn).

I never paid the bounty. Now I have a bounty of 125 gold for hitting a guard on accident. It was pretty crazy. There was a fight between two vampires and two vampire killers. I jumped in and tried to murder everyone but three hired thugs popped out of nowhere and attacked me. My homosixual wood elf companion Faendal was near death and I accidentally split his shoulder. Then I brought Lydia to carry my loot and I sent the woman back home. Now I am in Windhelm to find Aventus Aretino and bond with a new companion. Who can I bring along on my incredible journey?

You could use your Thane title to clear the bounty.

Or if the hold that your bounty is in, if say it was to get a new government, the old one overthrown. The bounty would be gone. Of you only get to use the thane title once per Jarl and a hold can only change government at the very most twice, once if it's Whiterun which is where it seems to be in this case. You say your too badass to pay, that might fit, Jarl puts a bounty on your head so you join the opposing side in the war and get him exiled.
