One of these again :)

...when you scream NO!! at the top of your lungs when someone says something randomly
...when you go look outside and marvel at the graphics
...when you write "Save" on a piece of paper before doing something difficult so you can revert to that save if it goes wrong

I have more :)

... when you call the number service and ask for The Dark Brotherhood because someone has pissed you off
... when you want to go someplace far and the first thought that strikes you is "I′d better fast travel"
... when you walk around and punch people to the ground just to take their loot. Wait, people actually do that and I doubt they play Oblivion...

I had to retire my attronach sorceress when I had to fight my self from stopping to pick the flax growing around my neighbor's mailbox down the street.

So that′s why I can′t lift the weights

... when you try to figure out the code for the console so the time goes faster at work
... when you get strange faces for bringing up the matter of the mudcrabs and that you saw one recently!
... when you run against a wall to increase your Aethletics

The first of these is a copy & paste from the last time we did this (with two or three trivial word changes). No sense reinventing the wheel.
  • You discover a months old note on the mantle explaining that your significant other is abandoning you for someone more "earthbound", departing with the kids for parts unknown. Whether this is a good thing or not depends on the significant other and kids in question... and how many of your favorite mods have pending major updates.
  • You realize you haven't been keeping up with current trends and decide to scan through newspapers stockpiled in the garage. You are mildly concerned to learn that much of the world is in a recession. Of greater consequence, you go on-line and discover a new SVN for Wrye Bash.

However if you do see two moons, the second one could just as well be the Death Star :ahhh:

...when someone say to you "What is going on with you?"
...when you steal a spoon in a restaurant
...when you sneaking around in public
...when you see a crab, you kill it
...when you continuously admire, piss off, joking and extort people in hope to increase your communication skill
...when you run and jumping around everywhere you go
...when you think you can fast travel anytime you look at a map
...when you keep asking for rumors from random peoples
...when you hope someone will give you a quest
...when you do something over and over in hope you get better by doing so
...when you start eating random fruits, grass, leaves, rats, garbage to find out their effect and hope you become better in chemistry by doing so

You try to open your inventory to equip items....this has actually happened this morning...I tried to open up my inventory to equip new clothing.
The adventure music keeps playing over and over again in your head, I actually turn the music off in the game, and play it on my computer, without the battle music of course!
It's dark outside, so you try to cast a light spell, then you remember that you have not learn that spell yet.
Me: "You have my ear citizen." Cousin: "...What?"

I've got a great one from this morning. My son and I are at the hobby store buying some paints for a project we are building, and it starts raining like crazy when we are inside. As we are running through the parking lot back to the truck, he shouts. "Stick together!" And I in return yell, "I've got your back!"

You know you've played Oblivion too much when...

You can tell Viper's Bugloss from Nightshade at a distance, but you can't tell an oak from a hickory in real life.
You can identify more plants in Cyrodiil than you can on Earth.
You look for the "Fast Travel" option when stuck in traffic.
You tap your destination on your GPS and expect to fast travel there.
You go deer hunting and try to outrun them.
You look for shrines/ruins/forts when going on a walk.
You have an escape plan in case of a Daedric invasion.
You've designed a real house based on one from the game.
You think about casting a "charm" spell when asking for a raise.
You try to cast Night Eye or Starlight during a power outage.
You hear something go bump in the night and try to cast Detect Life to see what it is.
You think you can swim while carrying stuff that weighs more than you do.
You wonder how much your Speechcraft went up after giving an oral presentation.
You grab your Goggles of Night Eye for a night time hunt. Then you remember they're called "Night Vision Goggles".
You think you can conceal a sword that's longer than you are tall by "unequipping" it.
You walk outside and think "Whoa! Awesome 3D graphics!"
You are surprised by the lack of a "loading" screen when you walk through a door IRL.
You find all of the above funny because you've done them, or know someone who has.

When your electricity bill goes up $10 a month because you have three computers running all the time: one on your game, one on these forums, and the other on the wiki whenever you can get it away from your wife’s shopping trips. Oh, plus her Oblivion game computer not on the net.

I've played it so much my first disk broke on me, so I purchased a second, downloaded it to my hard drive, and I've played to the point where it doesn't work right anymore. I think I fall under that category of "played too much."

I played so much my entire right (mouse) arm was in pain and I had to quit for a month. For a week my forearm felt like it was on fire and I had trouble sleeping. Then I got an Imak SmartGlove and have been OK since.

However, I find myself looking at plants differently now, and feel an urge to "harvest" them.
