How Do I Change a Mod To Make It Start Later?

I have a mod whose main quest starts way too early (level 5). I'd like to push it out so the courier that hands me the letter that starts the quest doesn't look for me until I'm level 30 or so. I poked around in CK to see if I could find out how to do that there without success. I also (very) briefly looked at the mod in Tes5Edit, and couldn't make heads or tails of anything there. I realize that I could just not activate the mod until I want to play it, but I'd rather not deal with the hassle of that and sorting everything each time I start a new game.
