I have a new nif for female imperial race i would like to try out, how do i subsitute it for the regular one? I have a NIF file and a dds file from the donor...but don't know how to change it ...i am guessing a folder in the Data/meshes folder will change it out but i am not sure as to how to do this. A tutorial or any suggestions are very welcome. thanks

this is a NIF that changes the basic body type ...i am trying to learn how to adjust such things...i know i will have to adjust clothing and armor too but this is the first step....

What do you mean nif? Is it only one nif? Is it like better body, meaning is it a whole body? Or a head?

I'm asking because you mentioned basic body type...and stock race uses a whole bunch of nifs, 1 nif per each body part.

h8i and thanks for the reply, i think it is all one NIF for the new body....so i guess it is a new race...but i was thinking i could subsitute if for one of the established races and keep things simple. I know nothing about this yet..so i will gladly look at the tutorial thank you.
