How to come back with Stormcloaks?

Post » Thu Dec 05, 2013 11:59 am

Hi, I just hit a stormcloak by accident by trying to liberate him from 2 imperial guards. He then started running but I went after him and selected ''liberate the prisonner'' as usual .. he continued to run then I went to get paid for some quests at the solitude castle where Ulfric and everyone is but they started to attack me ! Is this because they think Ive attacked one of theirs ? How can I undo it ? this would be so stupid to have gone to this point and [censored] it all up just because of this .. can someone help me please ? Per exemple could I pay some money to someone to make it all good ?

Thank you !

It's possible you have now have a bounty in Eastmarch. Pay it off if you're confronted by a guard.

No worries, just a simple assault charge. If they attack you take your weapon out and then sheath your weapon, this kicks off you passively surrendering and you can either do the jail time or pay the fine. IF this doesn't work avoid going to Solitude and instead see if one of the guards at Dragons bridge will try to arrest you and simply pay the fine.

You are not cast out of the Stormcloaks, you have simply earned an assault charge and possibly a hefty murder charge for the ones you killed that where escorting the prisoner. Once you pay your fines OR do the time you will be fine, back to normal, Ulfric will forgive you...Tiz the Nord way

...and, if memory serves, there's no charges associated with killing the guards who were escorting the prisoner, at least so long as you free the prisoner, first. Y'know, sorta like when you run into a Thalmor patrol; just attacking them outright earns you a bounty, but talking with any of the Thalmor agents and getting them to attack you bypasses that.

The map is divided into areas of control. If you have a crime in more than one town you'll have to clear your name in both towns. What is hard is knowing the dividing lines between "states" when you are on a road in the middle of no wheres. I would commit crimes on accident and get in trouble with my husband when I came home. He'd try to kill me. So I would have to figure out what "province" my house belonged to and steal something small in front of a guard so he could arrest me. That cleared up my name.

Good luck.

Go to your local inn and ask about rumors. You'll be lead to Falion in Morthal. Make sure you have a filled Black Soul Gem (process is faster if you already have it).

Depends on if you have Dawnguard or not. If you do, they should not be bothering you unless you commit a crime or become a Vampire lord (as in the form). if not, it might be.

Wouldn't it depend on what stage he is at? I avoid being a vampire so I'm not sure. If he's at stage four, he won't be able to get to an inn, correct?

OK, the trick now will be to find someone sleeping. Probably easiest to find a hunting camp out in the wild in the middle of the night? I don't know for sure as I've not spent much time being a blood svcker. But finding someone that is sleeping that you can sneak up on should allow you to feed. Once you feed, you'll return to stage 1. At stage one I believe you can drink a cure disease potion or activate a shrine and your little issue will be solved.

I had a similar situation on my first character. Had zero idea that I could become a vampire (this was my first TES title at the time). I ended up going to a previous save before I reached stage 4 and cured myself.

four, blood starved, if you feed just once you will go back to stage one, stage four is when they will attack without dawnguard. With dawnguard you will only be attacked if you transform into the vampire equivalent of a werewolf.

If he has Dawnguard, it would not matter. IF he does not, well, then it would.

At stage 4, without the Dawnguard dlc, he will have to go to some bandit hideout and feed, either by killing the bandits or sneaking up on them while they are sleeping. That will put the op back at stage one. Then go to an inn and ask for rumors, and get the quest to go to Morthal and get healed. Once healed, all the problems will go away, unless the op gets bit again and does not heal himself at a shrine.

So, once he returns to stage 1, a potion or shrine will not work?

I'm asking out of ignorance. As I said above, I haven't been a vampire. Though, I may give it a shot one of these days.

Potions and shrines only work the first three days after you've been infected, before you turn into an actual vampire. (Been infected many times, never turned completely).

Regarding the cure, must he really ask for rumors, can't he just head straight to Falion and talk to him?

@ OP: Falion doesn't follow the usual opening hours for vendors - he's the court wizard and also sells "spells and incantations for those with the talents to ..." :gun: :flamed:

Ehum. Well. Anyway. He opens his house/shop sometime in the afternoon, 2 or 3 I think. If you get there in the morning and the door is locked, just wait a couple of hours until it opens (if it's still locked when your waiting time is over, try turning away from the door and then back). At night, Falion can be found utside town - if you time it right, it's possible to follow him to a stone structure where he will stand and keep watch.
