I don't get how this works. I have Bound sworld and it says lvl Novice. I can cast this spell. I also have Conjure Familiar lvl novice and Conjure Flame Atronach lvl Apprentice.

Ok, I understand why I can't conjure the Flame Antronach because it's an Apprentice level, but Conjure Familiar is a Novice level. How come I can bound a long sword but can't conjure a familiar? What am I getting wrong or not understanding? I have enough magika so not sure what is wrong.

Try casting it on the ground closer to you.

Yeah, i think sometimes the spell fails, or its cast too far away from where you are standing.

Ok, guys thanks. I was looking at the horizon so maybe that is why it failed. Well my son has Skyrim, wife watching TV right now, so it looks like I will have to wait for a bit now.
