Hello all, I'm looking for help on how to convert my Xbox 360 New Vegas save to a PC save (just converting, without altering them), and probably vice-versa. I know that this is possible, but I have no idea where to begin. I checked out some tutorials online but each seems to differ from the other, so I thought it'd be best to hear from the community. I'm also not much of a modder so the "easy" tutorials tend to lose me on all the modding lingo.
All the DLC content I have on the Xbox save I also have on the PC version.
Additional info:
I started following a guide located http://www.xpgamesaves.com/topic/10646-converting-fallout-pc-saves-to-xbox-360/
but got stumped on step 2, as the hex editor program I was using (HxD) couldnt find anything like the example save he put (" S.a.v.e. .6.8.3. .-. .V.a.l.s.e.,. .E.n.g.i.n.e.e.r.i.n.g. .C.o.r.e.,. .0.1.5...3.1...5.4 ").
The save file I'm trying to convert is " Save 289 Pat Mojave Wasteland 72 ", and The closest line (was actually two lines in the program) I could find to the file name is- " ...|..|Pat|..|Saint|....|..|Mojave Wasteland|..|072.40.34|...... "
though I'm not sure if that's the correct file or what to do if it is. (there were a couple others that actually said save game like Savegame.dat but still idk if they're the correct line.)
I also tried to simply change the game save extension to .fos (what the PC New Vegas save extensions are) and copied it over, but it showed up as "corrupt" in the game menu.
