Cant you eat/drink snow?

Anyway, since i had the curse of the last post of the page:

The game would be realistic if there was no nuclear war.

I am certainly not lying, just dont remember it too well, that is the thing, it was so monotonous, the only thing to see in damn near every direction was rocks and trees, nothing stood out, it was draining.

well how did you survive?

I guess when you are highly dehydrated you would focus to survive rather then remembering every detail.

Survival didnt really come into my mind, my main mindset was walking downhill.

Reminds me of a survival tip for being chased by a bear: run down a hill. The dumb animal will fall over head over heels.

I'm young, brave and (debatably) crazy. *Tackles the bear...gets mauled by the bear...* It's official, I'm young, brave and most certainly in Intensive Care Unit.

No, you are a 12 foot tall super mutant with power armor built into your body, brave, and crazy, punch that bear in half.

Radioactivity isn't permenant or we'd all be dead from radiation poisoning. We get radiation from our own cells deteriorating...

We are ALWAYS radioactive, it's such a low yield it would barely, if it all, register on a Geiger Counter.

A lot of those things would fit if it wasnt 200 years after, civilization has begun to rebuild, people make clothes, guns, food, ammo. It used to be rare, but not so much anymore.

how is civilization rebuilding, new vegas is empty as hell, you and a few others keep talking about how new vegas is about rebuilding and recivilization but the map area is super barren and a snoozefest, it doesn't look like they rebuilt anything, everything on the map was from like 200 years earlier, so for all this rebuilding and recivilization talk, i don't see it. so if you're saying its about rebuilding and its civilized now, why aren't there lots more settlements and people and groups wandering round the area getting stuff to rebuild? and more action all over the map in general?

Stop turning everything into an arguement that New Vegas was boring, because if they're aren't constant patrols and settlements along every road what we see in NV is totally not rebuilding after a nuclear war, sounds to me like your just saying this to keep on called NV boring; The Strip, Freeside and Westside are all parts of one big city, find me an equally sized area of civilisation in the Capital Wasteland.

Have you noticed how everything he says is always about a paragraph of how Vegas is a giant empty desert. I've probably seen it about twenty times now.

I'd accuse him of just copy pasting, but each one is slightly different...

I have to agree with this. Why do almost everybody live in tents and run downed buildings? because there not rebuilding. If they were that wall along the strip should have been rebuilt because it looks like sh*t. Not to mention that in most towns they dont even help to rebuild some of the buildings or make them more attractive.

To rebuild a society, you need a working beginnings of one. Look how NCR fares, the Legion, the Strip with Mr. House. There you have some early societies that all are striving towards some form of rebuilding. And you gotta remember the situation the region is in, and that building a nation doesn't happen in one night, and without a (forced or voluntary) unity of the people in it.

And most of the population in the Mojave is concentrated at the center, which is in the best condition. There is no need for the majority of the people to be scattered around the wasteland. Few selfsustained settlements still remain, but they are too to be annexed with who ever takes over tha land.
