How to deal with ppl using SHOTGUN and Mobility Enhance?

Post » Tue Jul 12, 2011 4:27 pm

Hey,

I wonder how you guys deal with those ppl who use shotgun and mobility enhance running and flying around? I kind find it difficult to shoot them down since shotgun have more advantage at close range over assault guns like SCAR or SCARB.

I personally tested with shotgun (both Jackal and Marshall) and mobility enhance, it's really easy to kill at least 2-3 ppl in one life. But I really don't like it. So do you guys have any tips?

I use SCARB a lot with energy transfer, stealth enhance and aim enhance.

Use covert ops rank III. You can hear enemies coming at you. Or, use aim enhance, and ADS scan the area a lot. What it comes down to, is how you travel around (are you dodging sporadically when in open cover regardless of being shot at?), how you maintain your energy, how accurate you are, and how fast your reactions are. The modules just help, but aren't completely necessary.

Basically what you need to do is not to let them close, this is done by increasing your battlefield awareness which is probably the most important aspect ingame. Yeah, covert ops 3 does help but usually it's too late anyway. Just constantly check your surroundings and remember, shotguns are useless in mid-long ranges.

I agree with SDub.

I used to do that a lot and now I'm getting it a lot since I switched weapons (karma is a B*tch haha). One thing that's helped me against that style is Visor enhance. It'll surround them in a red aura when you ADS. Also, it's the fact that I used to play that style and KNOW how someone else would flank. That's just me though.

@CrazyFist

That's what I forgot to mention too. Battlefield awareness helps a lot HAHA.

Thanks. But I never used covert ops before so I don't know how effective it is. I'm thinking to replace aim enhance with mobility enhance so that I can dodge without sacrifice too much energy. But like you said "the modules just help, but aren't completely necessary".

i hav 10,000 kills with marshall and i can tell u tat armor has no effect against the marshall at close range.. well at least 90% of the times.. people also tend to use melee which is highly overpowered. try to kill them before they close in on u. if scar is ur primary weapon then its best to stay in the open and be aware of ur surroundings. nevertheless always activate armor..
nope.. covert ops isnt gonna help u at all.. lol..
dont spray the bullets.. ADS and shoot like 3-5 bullets with a fraction of a second break.. scar has too much recoil. u'll get used to it, just keep playin :)

Don't let them get too close. If that happens then dodge whatever you can. Jump. Run and make a circle to kill him. Run, Cloak, make circle. Or jump armor ON and try too kill. Use your brain to find the way to make their weapon against them.
Marshal can kill in one shot on the close range. But if it misses there are delay for loading another shoot.
Fast shooting shotgun is not so deadly, but shooting faster. Just try to on the armor mode before he will start the shooting. That may give you a chance to live longer and even survive.
And remember. Battlefield around you is always changing. Enemies can be anywhere and can move on battlefield. So you also need to be aware about what's happening within your personal area of battlefield that you are standing.
Like in real life. Relaxing on battlefield may cost you a life =) But in virtual game gladly that's not your real life. And you're just playing.=)
