Doesn't matter, once you hit the limit contact EA Live Chat and they'll give you more activations

It will de-activate automatically when you uninstall the game.
So, uninstall the game before you re-format.

No, the game is intalled on it's own.
You will get a pop up when you uninstall the game saying it has been de-activated.

Be carful with de-activations there is actully a limit on how many you can do (not just activation), seen it in another thread showing a screen grab saying something like "your de-activation limit has been reached, contact support" etc..

I don't think they have a deactivation limit. It wouldn't make sense if they actually have a limit.

To deactivate simply go to the install directory and in the bin32 there is an activation.exe app that would allow you to deactivate without uninstalling.

I thought as much... I mean hell, if the server detected it going on all the time and decided that's fishy, even THAT I could understand... but to outright say "you can only deactivate X times" is.... really pathetic. I can put up with activation limits if they let me get them back when Im done with THAT COPY on THAT PC, but.... what's the point if they do that?
