I'm trying to figure out how to delete all barrels - there's just too much loot in them, and makes the early game too easy. Is there a way to do this with the Creation Kit? Thanks!

Or, another option would be to keep the barrels but make sure they have trash - rags, spoiled meat, worthless things. I know it has something to do with leveled list, but I'm new to the creation kit, so any help would be really appreciated!

O.o what loot are we talking about here? At least in my Skyrim, the only "loot" i find is garbage that is not even worth picking up usually and does not help the player in the slightest except for maybe a couple of potion ingrediants and even then that is quite rare......

Yeah, i guess you COULD do it via the CK, but it would NOT be fun and I am pretty sure it would require you going into every cell in the game and deleting them. Do not use the CK much so i could be wrong.

Yep, just delete the Barrel objects. Although this will make for an empty world.

Better would be to remove the inventory from the barrels.

However, I have never gotten any loot from a barrel that was in any way helpful in the game.

How do barrels have too much loot? The best I ever got was a iron ingot.

I know this is a bit revolutionary but, since it's a single player game and will effect no one but yourself, you could leave the barrels alone.

Funny, I agree with the op about loot and the barrels; I modded mine so that they give up less things. It's not that the barrels offer much valuable loot, what bothered me is the amount of food you can find in them. Skyrim is supposed to be a rather poor country and all that food in the waste bins...

Anyway, if Betenor wants to delete all the barrels, okay. Launch the ck, load Skyrim.esm. Once loaded, write barrel in the "filter" box on the top left the object window. Then go down the left column, look for "WorldObjects" and click on "container". There you go, you can delete all the barrels you want or open each of them and remove the levelled lists they contain.
