Let's look at it in this perspective. Crysis 1's physical destructibility was quite minor. You could only destroy the roof of some village houses which consisted of metal sheets. You just punched that and they fell off. The actual house was left intact, the little concrete walls couldn't be destroyed. Palm trees could break apart, yea sure palm trees, oh and glass, what fun... You got boxes that could break, well almost any game has that, there were exploding barrels and whatnot, yeah we've all seen that. Now let's take a look at what I wrote; quite the small amount of physical destructibility right? Well all that (excluding the roof of the houses) will be featured in Crysis 2 with a little more destruction. Like those famous pillars that break apart, the little concrete sideblocks that can be totally destroyed (just like the ones in BC2) and I think some concrete ledges and stuff could also break apart. Now the most exciting new feature being added is the physical deformation. For example when you shoot a barrel it will deform a little inwards because of the bullet's kinetic force. Same goes if you hit it in strength mode. Now for Crysis 2's multiplayer, what I've seen is that there are a few pre-determined spots which you could destroy. For instance the glass, some wooden walls, the edges of some concrete flowerpots (well actually it's a bigger thing that the flowerpot but I don't know the word) and more glass... Now, please mind that everything I wrote here is a fact in the demo's and the official gameplay vids. Crytek MIGHT be actually holding out some major key element from us just for the surprise. I do hope so! So at the end we still don't get "that much" from Crysis 1 in terms of destruction, but that doesn't mean that the game would be dull and boring. There are plenty of other new and exciting features to feast upon!
