How did you come up with Your Name?

Post » Thu Sep 22, 2011 1:39 am

My TES name has always been Jericho since Arena when I was like 13. I think I got it from the old Prodigy song, "Jericho". I was listening to the album at that time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7C8xjY9H7w Hehe, so old school.

I usually had very over-the-top names but I have decided to go more lore-friendly when Skyrim comes out. I had a Nord in Morrowind called Reinhardt The Fierce just because it sounded badass.

Took me about a week to come up with a full name.

Equinox Saryllibus

Last name is pronounced:
Suh-rill-leh-biss

I chose Equinox because my char is a dark elf assassin, and I assassinate in the day and in the night.

Equinox means equal day and equal night.

And Saryllibus was just something that I pulled out of my ass  I felt that it sounded good together.

Title says it all.

My first characters called Zelezo Divici (iron maiden is Czech, think thats how Czech is spelt). Just put Iron Maiden into google translate and out pops my name.

How did you create yours?

Purely imagination. There is no meaning or structure behind Ariake. It's just meant to sound cool ;)

The username I use for most of my fantasy characters is Skorpious, and since I plan on playing an Imperial, I simply "romanized" his name (although Skorpious is technically roman enough, I decided that using the correct spelling would be more appropriate).

Final name - Scorpius Vulcan

Ha, nice.

I don't know what I'll name my character. Probably end up referencing another character/game.

I use morgueanna for all my game names. I used to use morgana back in the late 90's, but then the internet happened and every teenage girl wearing black makeup was using it, so I changed the spelling to suit my personality more :)
