how did you hear about fallout 4?

Saw the weird countdown thing and the rest, as they say, is history.

I was working a case, tracking down $3,000 worth of stolen churros when a carrier pidgeon in a tophat told me about the countdown website.

When they announced that the E3 showcase it was obvious what it had to be. That they would rent a whole auditorium at E3 and put on a show the day before it started meant they were doing something big and wanted to set the tone for the whole event. Something else with Elder Scrolls after both Skyrim and ESO was inconceivable. It had to be Fallout.

Well ive been actually googling fallout 4 every two weeks for past couple of years. Keeping up with the hoaxes and everything else.

Earlier this year beth announced they would be doing an E3 showcase, this was way before the countdown site. To fair at that point I had like a strong inclination it would be fallout 4. I mean I didn't know for sure but the people at beth are not idiots. They wouldn't schedule an E3 show case without bringing one of their two main attractions along ES or Fallout. Sure they have doom, and dishonored but lets be realistic here that doesn't warrent their own and first ever i might add, E3 showcase.

You pretty much knew it would either be fallout 4 or a fan riot.

Oh come on gkk7z your back door is almost never locked. ... ... ... Well that's what I've heard anyway.

I don't believe there was ever a time when I didn't think FO4 was going to be made. I knew TESV would need to be wrapped up first as TES and FO games tend to use the same people so the games are rotated. Granted with some of the newer games Bethesda put out in the last few years I did fear that another game may get tossed into the cycle, but nope it still looks like the Open World games are TES and FO. The countdown was pretty much a give away. I knew it was coming sooner or later.

I'm pretty sure it was the "Please stand by" thing on the Fallout Facebook page got me intrigued/excited. Then they dropped the teaser trailer :D

Randomly searched for it, knew the rumors beforehand, was 99.999% sure that FO4 was the next game when they annouced that they were ending support for Skyrim.

I didn't consider myself actually hearing about it until, due to sheer luck, I did another random search on Fallout 4 the day gamesas has the countdown for it. Saw the "Standby" background card, and immediately knew Fallot 4 was being announced at the end of the timer.

Basically, since day 1.

Sometime back in late May or early June, I saw an article saying Red Box had released a list of titles they were adding to their inventories. Fallout 3 was on that list. I knew there was no reason they'd put a seven year old game in their vending machines unless they were expecting a huge spike of interest in replaying it. That's when I knew a Fallout 4 announcement was coming.

I think the trailer went up a few days later? Maybe a week?

EDIT: Late May. http://www.hardcoegamer.com/2015/05/19/redbox-to-begin-stocking-fallout-3-during-e3-2015-signal-of-fallout-4/149655/

Ages and ages ago I read an article about a leaked story abstract, featuring a vault dweller in Boston and the mysterious institute. Had to be over a year ago.

I had a feeling fallout 4 would show up att e3 2015. While in prison a fellow inmate told me that fallout 4 would most likely show up during 2015. And behold, a few month out as a free man a buddy of mine sent me and text telling me to look att bethesda's official site att a count down. (the countdown to the official trailer) been hooked ever since :) a huge fallout 3 and new vegas fan btw( new vegas took over my life for a while, the dlc content for that game was out of this world)

I love SoD! It's kind of what I've always wanted in a zombie game. I'm hoping it's fairly large spike in popularity allows Undead Labs to create another game exclusive to next gen consoles that improves on SoD. It has so much but it does still feel very indy. I still love it though.

I think a friend mentioned to me that the site had changed to a countdown and I've been doing lines of fallout hype ever since

I can't actually remember how I heard about the countdown, twas so long ago now... Probably just kept an ear to the ground and regularly checked the Fallout Wiki. I long suspected Fallout 4 would be revealed at E3, turns out I was right.

Come to think of it... I should have layed down some bets! I would have made a bloody fortune from all the naysayers. :sadvaultboy:

I heard about it on CNN world news. ^^ Seriously, I heard it on the Community Discussion forum which, for me, can be more informative than CNN.

I'm a regular on the Fallout wiki, Nukapedia. I joined Nukapedia in 2011. I saw a news article on the wiki talking about Bethesda's E3 Presser announcement.

Remember waking up one wasteland morning and upon signing into steam BAM! There it was, Pip smiling and giving me the thumbs up! I then proceeded and preordered a copy instinctively with 0 hesitation. Almost same scenario with Pipboy version although it was Amazon this time. Yes I now have a total of 3 FO4 copies on preorder (the other being Xbox One for friends, family guests, etc...).
