How does banning the worship of Talos wipe out the humans? : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

I heard some people say that if people stop worshiping Talos humanity will be wiped out.Is this true?If it is then how?

It's the other way around, actually.

Gods get power from worship. Talos is mostly worshipped by Men. Eliminate Men, and you kill Talos.
