How does Dragon Aspect make other shouts more powerful?

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 4:16 pm

Like the title says. Previews tended to say it made shouts stronger, but I've yet to see an explanation as to how. Do they actually do this, and if so, how?

It increases damage and duration as well as shortening the cooldown.

I suppose it doesn't increase the knockback effect of your Fus, does it?

By how much? Does it allow you to rely primarily on them?

Yeah, this.

For example, can you keep Slow Time on constantly? That'd be a test worth doing.

Not really sure on that, but the perk you can get from apocrypha seems to.

Not really. It adds another 25 percent reduction, so if you wear the talos amulet and have talos's blessing, you can have a total of 75 percent reduction. Its a lot, but the power lasts for like 4 minutes I believe, and it has a once a day time limit after using the shout. Understandable, since it does tend to make some fights easy. Also, when you're low on health, it summons a badass dovahkiin spirit to fight for you. the first word does this after 10 percent health I believe, and all three summons it after 50. It also adds like 100 armor, and increases melee damage.

Oh, and the cooldown is really short, so you wont lose your shouts for a day. It just works like a greater power/shout.

Oh fun, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17010*. :whistling:

Any visual effects from using Dragon Aspect? We saw glowey dragon horns/spikes/stuff in the trailer and everyone surmised that was it.

* Mod adds up to 30% depending on total dragons soul-munched, + 40% from Amulet/Blessing + 25% from Dragon Aspect

Oh yes. The visuals are badass. Adds glowey circles over your eyes too. It's quite the lightshow.

The wiki says Slow Time is 60 seconds. It also says both the amulet and the blessing are 20% redux, not 25%.

Assuming Dragon Aspect is the same, that's a 60% reduction, meaning you could almost have a permanent Slow time (max duration is 16 seconds, cooldown with all that would be 24 seconds), but that's of course assuming you can be assed to keep the Blessing of Talos on constantly. Without that, the cooldown is still 36 seconds.

You're right. My mistake. I was thinking of spell reductions. 20 percent for the talos amulet, and 20 percent for the blessing. I cannot remember if the reduction for the dragon aspect is 20 or 25. Probably 20 as well.
