I have a windows 8 laptop and last night I bought, off of Steam, Fallout 3. I've been playing the actual game for a while now, so I know it works and stuff. Now, I want to mod it. So... how exactly do I do that? I've been to the Fallout3Nexus and I've tried downloading a mod, and I download it into my Documents. How exactly do I make the file into a ".esm" file or whatever, so when I put it into the Fallout 3 Data folder, I'm able to check the file when I load up Fallout 3.

Hopefully I explained everything properly. I've literally spent hours trying to figure out how to download mods and stuff, but nobody seems to have a guide for windows 8 folders.
