How to duplicate Tamriel?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:00 pm

I need to create a duplicate of Tamriel, but during duplicating I receive the following error report:

The exception unknown software exception (oxc00000fd) occured in the application at location 0x7773a1a3

Click on OK to terminate program

What's going on here? Why is the duplicating process of the Tamriel worldspace worthy of a CTD?

How efficient is your PC? CS tends to crash when it has eaten all the usable memory.

My PC has 4GB of memory....

My version of vista is 32bit so there's only 3.25GB available, but that should be enough.

It might just be a bit tooo big. My CS will sometimes crash just trying to duplicate a City.....The only advise I can give is like with the Heightmap editor - Load up your mod (or make a new one) - Then SAVE it. Then try to duplicate it. The Cs contains a bug whereby some features will only work after a save, mainly the HM editor. Try it, cant hurt.

I just tryed it for you - ......And it worked! Started a new mod - Saved it - Duplicated tam - took about 15 minutes to copy and five minutes to save...:/ Might need to convert it to an esm if you plan to mod/save it frequently.

Vista seems to have more problems with the CS than XP.

If you get really stuck I will upload it for you.

Edit: scrap that I just looked and the esp is 150meg......I cant upload that much....so GoodLuck!

After a few minutes i've loaded the plug-in containing the copy of Tamriel, I got this error message:

The exception unknown software exception (oxc00000fd) occured in the application at location 0x7773a1a3

Editing a worldspace as large as Tamriel isn't as easy as I thought

Hey man glad that worked for you, sometimes the Save will make it work, sometimes it wont, but generally you stand a better chance.

I was just playing around with it before I went out and found something very strange. I converted It into an esm (other wise it will take a million years to save and die all the time)

I loaded it in cs, made a few changes and then saved it as an .esp that needs the esm to work.

When I played it in game however, there was NO landmass whatsoever, all the buildings, trees objects and bushes were there, just not any land, only water. Very strange. I will have a look into that and report back, anyone else have that problem?
