How to edit Ancient Knowledge active effect?

Post » Thu Oct 24, 2013 3:37 pm

Hello community!

So, I got one for ya.

I want to know how to edit the Ancient Knowledge "active effect". Seeing as Bethesda didn't fix the bug that caused Ancient Knowledge to give 25% armor bonus to all armor types EXCEPT Dwarven Armor.

I know the unofficial skyrim patch fixes this, but as I've had issues with the mod before I'm rather reluctant regarding it's use.

So, just a simple edit. I'm new to the Creation Kit and I've searched around the web for a solution, but came up dry. So now I'm asking here.

Basically I just want the Ancient Knowledge active effect to work for Dwarven Armor as well. If someone could point me in the right direction or provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to solve said problem, it would be much appreciated! :twirl:

Thanks in advance!

Also, I apologize if someone already answered this in a difrrent thread.

Cheers!

There must be a keyword missing somewhere. I'm sorry that I cannot search the CK right now, I really need to sleep... ;)

There are two types.

MS04Reward

MS04RewardNoDisplay

Those are the names of the two Ancient Knowledge magic effects.

The perk is called MS04AncientKnowledge

I can't figure out how to solve the issue as none of these give no obvious changes to armors. It's just spells and a perk.

I would say so as well. But I can't seem to find the editor id. I think it should be under ability. But even if i find I'm not sure where to go from there. Do i just save ontop of the masterfile? Do i make a new "mod"? If so, how do i do that etc.

Also, everytime i open the Creation Kit I get several errors.

For instance:

MASTERFILE: NavmeshInfo 00028e37 has no parent space, ignoring

And if i dont click "Yes to all" several errors pops up. Is this normal?

EDIT: Ahh, didn't see your post there Terra Nova. Thanks I'll try to have a look at it. Any idea about the error I'm getting every time I open the Creation kit?

Hmm, I see what you mean about changing the actual armors. Where does one do that? :/
