I think it'll be about as "epic" as Oblivion.

I am worried that they'll screw up.

But that's almost impossible! Isn't it? :ermm:

I get the feeling that they're really trying for something big here, revolutionary as far as The Elder Scrolls goes. I have a lot of confidence in BGS and I think we're in for a treat.

I'm on simply "Epic". Rumous about some oversimplified details kills the "EPIC!!!" for me.

Bethesda makes the best games in the world and they are getting better at it all the time. So my answer is that this will be the most *epic* game I've ever seen.

I agree, people should simply learn what words mean before using them.

Epic is a measure of quantity, not quality. More specifically the length of a story.
If you write a book it's considered epic if it's length is over 100.000 words.

Skyrim won't have 100.000 words of dialog, but if you count all the landscapes, buildings and other content I guess it would easily be worthy to be called epic. ;)

While I trust Beth to make a great game, I just can't help but worry that it might go horribly, horribly wrong.

My two favorite developers in the business are Bethesda and BioWare. So confidence in them I have. Even though I haven't personally seen the GI yet since it hasn't arrived in the mail, from what I have heard of Skyrim, BGS will definitely make a much more polished and focused experience. As long as the feeling of choice and options are still there, with plenty to do, I think this game will be an instant success.

Seems to me that Todd and the BGS team are taking this very very seriously, and trying to make something that will really change the TES series for the better. Considering the thousands of hours I have already logged in past TES titles, I have full confidence in them.

Skyrim is epic. And immersive. There should be a new, stronger word for Skyrim. Like immersive-epic, or immerspic. Yes, Skyrim is immerspic. From this moment, I will stand for the opposite of Skyrim: cipsremmi.

And there's the second most overused word in computer game circles.

I voted for EPIC!! and I am pretty sure it will end up getting GOTY (assuming it is released on time).

It's also an adjective that's used to describe something very impressive. Since being coined as some sort of neeky internet youth term for cool by ever 12 year old in the world, yes it has somewhat lost it's gravitas, but it's still a great word. It's just over-used.
