How is everyone's performance now?

I feel like some areas and issues have improved while others are the same or at times worse off than before. The Corvega Factory still has issues as do many Super Mutant hideouts. Sanctuary still has some trouble spots also. Overall, I'd say the trouble spots are not as bad as before, but a constant, steady 60 fps is still not achievable in all reasonable situations.

Personally, I don't side with the argument that Ultra and High settings shouldn't be achieved with current gen hardware. The volumetric lighting, godrays and shadows were talked about features at showcases. When they are not bogging down performance, which is about 85% of the time, they look great. If current gen hardware cannot achieve a particular feature, then I don't think that feature should be implemented int he final product, let alone used as part of marketing.

Don't get me wrong. I am happy with my purchase overall and have spent countless hours playing the game. I just have what I feel are legitimate complaints about performance.

My specs:

Titan X

i7-2700k @4 Ghz

16 gigs of DDR3 Corsair RAM

Windows 10

Yeah, buying a Titan was stupid cause no game currently developed actually takes advantage of it. Should've gotten a 980, but I'm just another mindless consumer. :)

Those of us on AMD at least on Fuji cannot keep a solid 60 fps constantly at 1920x1080. Many area's still drops into the 20's range. Even using tools disabling all gameworks features, lowering particles, just not happening.

I backed out of the beta. Super long loading screens was my first impression and I run the OS and game on a SSD.

My spec's are in my sig and my gamingPC is only for games so no junk running in the background.

Yes I went to NMM and turned off all 11 mods I was running.

I have 580 hours and 3 complete playthrus all the bobbleheads and 3 racks of books so I know the areas pretty well.

I did not try a new game and that might be required. I went to several areas I have very bad frame rates and they were the same.

360, Corvega being the worse.

Fault 81 still has many broken side quests.

I called up an old save to do the Beryllium agaitator collection since thee are so many NPC fighting. FR dropped to 45 which is acceptable but no better.

I did not test any of the MM side quests my first playthru got me so pissed at Preston and the needy settlements sending me to the

very same place multiple times I never save Preston from the tower, or trigger the DC.

Since I saw no real improvements and the x long load times bugged the crap out me and half of my must have mods won't work with this Beta I uninstalled and dread the day Steam auto updates without my permission.

Before anyone suggests it. No I'm not going to run Steam in off line mode to stop it I will just cuss them out under my breath like I did the last auto update.

I'm sorry to hear that. I really have wanted to go back to AMD, but the industry seems to be hosing them still.

I have started several new games since the Beta and I have experimented a lot with settlements sizes, mods, no mods etc. I also have an old vanilla playthrough completed that I tried everything out on.

Things have been ameliorated, but it's not really what I'd call acceptable. I don't know how to put any nicer. I don't want to sound snobbish or unappreciative of Bethesda and their work. I've just grown to expect 60 fps at 1080 on Ultra.

I gave up on ultra a long time ago. Here are the setting I had to use to get my FR steady at 60 95% of the time with some drops downtown hitting 45 but never lower..

Hehehe, I was on a Titan for almost three years. Only reason I jumped over to an AMD R9 Fury X, is the TitanX lacks workstation features the original Titans had that are needed for applications like Maya. I asked nvidia why are they charging more for less, when a Titan is out performing a TitanX in Maya, and the Fury X is outperforming both. Why should I buy a TitanX because if you can convince me I will go buy it right now? Well their response to my question was they removed it. So I took my business elsewhere. Yeah the thing with Fallout 4 is Gameworks it relies heavily upon it to the point that Nvidia is the way to go if you want to keep 40-60 FPS at all times. Other games I have played a Fury X trades blow with a TitanX or is right behind it... Really wish Bethesda didn't take nvidia's money and put Gameworks in... yes its a selling point for nvidia, but when you have a 650-1k dollar card the game should run at 60+ FPS on Ultra at 1920x1050... Without gameworks I have a feeling the game would have ran better for both AMD/Nvidia users and we would all be getting 60+ FPS on our expensive hardware at 1920x1080...
