I haven't played pc games in a long time, so all of this DRM stuff is new to me. I have decided not to buy a hard copy of the game since it apparently installs secuROM on your computer, which I honestly wouldn't mind if I didn't have to fool around with the registry to fully remove it. So Steam seems to be the better option, but how exactly does it work? From what I've gathered I need to make an account and run the game online, at least for the first time. Can I transfer the game to another computer via USB and play it as long as I log into my Steam account on that computer? That seems like it would defeat the purpose of Steam but just wondering. Also, does it install some invasive, hard-to-remove software like secuROM? Any info would be appreciated.
edit: It seems you can download the game from Steam on any number of computers.
