I'd say roughly 10 or 20 years;

Give the Thalmor enough time to get even stronger so that they will be fit for the role of main antagonists.

I wish Bethesda charged more for their games so they would have more money to pay for more employees to make more elder scrolls games so they can make more money. loop

5 years development time minimum for next game (or I jump ship)
Probably very short in-game time as the next game will expand on the Thalmor. Let's say 6 years like the time between Morrowind and Oblivion.

It's a little early to be asking that don't you think :wink_smile: There will probably be one game in between now and the next TES, so I would expect around 5 years from now.

Edit: We can also be expecting DLC in the next 1-2 years.

A couple years if and only if they don't expand on the Thalmor through Skyrim expansions/DLC. The Thalmor would make great antagonists for a future installment.

sad to say the road that bethesda is going down, i'd say 2 to 3 years.. look at the turn around time from fallout 3 to fallout new vegas.

Well, since TES is becoming "streamlined", I say they will follow CoD time frame: about one game every 1 or 2 years.

Bethesda deveoped Fallout 3. Obsidian Entertainment developed Fallout: New Vegas.
Less turnaround? Of course, it's not even the same blooming developer!

Whenever Next gen is out +2 years is my guess.

But they may go the Oblivion route if BGS is not creating FO4

Hopefully the time difference between this game and the next isn't too long, there's a lot of interesting stuff going on at the moment. It seems to me like the main storylines in Skyrim are only half finished, hopefully the DLC will expand on some of the questlines.
