How Fast Do I Need To Get The Nano Catalyst?

Evry Time I Terminate An Alien And Go To Get The Nanao Catalyst, I Noticed That Its Not There!
So My Questions Are:
How Fast Do I Need To Get It?
Is It Beter To Go After Each Alien At A Time? (So I Would Be Able To "Kill & Collect")?
Thing IS.....If I Use The Sniper Then By The Time I Go To Collect... Its Not There!?
anyone sugest Tac'?

For some idiotic reason the nano-catalyst disappears a few minutes after you kill a Ceph. I'm still trying to figure out why Crytek did this. It doesn't add any challenge, it's just annoying.

But all I can tell you is it's best to run and gun when killing Ceph if you want those nano's, because if you snipe them then casually make your way over they won't be there.

My guess is memory constraint on the consoles (256MB is garbage and if it's like that on PC it's probably so that it's equal). That's why the Alien bodies don't stay long and there's not many destructible trees and crap, I guess the guns stay because it would piss people off more if those disappeared.

Does it even matter? You can rush the last level in 10 or so minutes (probably less) for 20,000+ Catalyst each time.. even on Post Human Warrior.

He's talking about "A Walk in the Park". The final mission in the SP campaign. Without spoiling it, the final fight in the game yields 20,000 NC.

The other thing he's alluding to is that you can replay missions multiple times for more Nano Catalyst from individual enemies (effectively) multiple times.

Going through A Walk in the Park in 10 minutes seems kinda crazy to me, but I'm guessing if you abuse the cloak and the volt gun it could be possible.
