How to find what a mod adds?

Basically what the title says, I have a bunch of missing meshes, textures, and icons and I don't know what or how to find what causes it. Basically I'm missing meshes etc. for morrowind armors, certain potions, and certain creatures. mod list included just in case.

Old school method - open the console click on the missing mesh or problem item - write down the formID number - then open the mod in Tes4edit and search that number - that will tell you texture and mesh paths and you can then hunt them down.

All RefScope and FormID do is make it so you can know the name of the mod while still in game. You are going to have to exit the game anyway so I've never really needed them.

and another little perk to RefScope is on hitting the X key a container will either glow green or red letting you know that its safe or not to store items in it. ive had quite a few mods with missing icons so its been quite a valuable tool for me. not sure how i lived without it.

IIRC WTF markers have collision so it's possible to select them. Default "!" markers didn't have collision.

Yeah, RefScope is not lacking much in FormID Finder. I'm using use Kuertee's Actor Details and FormID Finder. I forgot about the container thing though. I'll add RefScope in when I get around to merging. I just haven't had a need for the more advanced features of either it or FormID Finder since I started my rebuild.

like you mean in your inventory ? i never have to drop anything on the ground to check what its from. hit x and space on it in your inventory a vendors inventory or a container. it dont matter

another nice feature other then the continer is i think if you also have pluggy you can print the information right to a note pad then i dont have to write anything down or memorize it when i log out i check the file and every report is in the note pad ready for me to research the problem

All three mod support checking inventory, and add ConScribe into the mix to log everything for easy viewing. ;)
