How to fix Pamriel land just dropping off into nothing...

Post » Fri Jul 15, 2011 2:11 pm

While playing in Pamriel *ed- should be TAMRIEL Rebuilt*, it seems that the a portion of the land map is missing, as if the world drops off into nothing. What could be the reason & how can we fix this? Thanks!

Do you mean Tamriel Rebuilt? Because that's an unfinished mod, that's just the section they haven't done yet. And I think it looks pretty cool :D

it's called a landscape seem. and you can get the problem when you have more than one mod altering the land in a cell. or like tr's maps they are cut off at a cell border. you can fix that by loading the mods into the cs. and then use the landscape tool to change the terrain height. small seems like i had with the gnisis bridge and deserter legions mods can be fix easy. large rips like tr's are trickier. you can click the tool along the edge of the seam and it will close it up. but in my experience, in fixing such large ones, is that i have the cs crash on occasion. and f you do that to tr map 1&2 you will have to rewrite over that when they come out with the next bordering map.

@Rattfink
Um, no. That's not what JaquesDam is talking about.

At the edge of the TR landmass, the land just ends in a huge gap of nothing.... This is not an accidental land tear at all, and definitely not a mod conflict of any type.
Because the TR landmass is released in sections, so the missing sections make the world look like it was sliced open.

In the case of TR, this is perfectly normal and no "fix" is needed at all.

Thank you, everyone! And yeah, I meant Tamriel! Brain Flatulence!

So, is anyone working to complete TR or at least add to it?

Even if this is an unfinished work, it still seems like part of my land-mass has disappeared as there seems to be a very small strip that runs north-south. I remember playing this before & there was a village within tall trees which is now no longer there. All the Tamriel files are clicked in my data files so I'm not sure what has happened.

Probably a mod conflict.
