Wow still haven't fixed load order - you are all about learning the hard way huh?

I'll give you a hint - you need to find out what the FormID of the missing mesh is and you came very close in that screen shot - almost as if you could click on it instead of the guard.

Then to understand what the FormID means - the first two numbers relate to load order ... as in the mod that is that position.

assuming of course that you have archive invalidation invalidated.

I'm not here to play guessing games.

When the guard spins around, that star moves around with him, with the point of that star stuck as it is in the picture on his arm.

I only know what guides have told me for my load order: Use BOSS.

I try to set things up with WB, but when things are too complicated, such as question/answer scripts used in OBMM, I will use that to set up a mod.

I have only once come across a WB install that used a wizard.

The "hired guard"s are added I believe from T.I.E. I have seen them in shops, but I don't know if they are supposed to be outside in the Arboretum like he is here.

But since you have OBSE installed do this in the console:

click the Hired Guard, type GetEquippedObject 13

That should give you the name and id of the missing mesh.

Edit:

You could try it with this great tool called .. eeehhm .. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704. It′s easy to handle and will surely help you to find the missing mesh.

Do you have refscope? It is useful for this kind of thing. It can tell you what item the meshes are missing from and what mod they are added by and also the directory they should be in.

edit: refscope gives more info than formid finder but they are essentially the same thing you only need one or the other I suggest refscope though.

I have the UOP/supplemental so it isn't that. I don't know what those mods I have below the bash patch would have anything to do with the shop. The MM plugins are simply text suppressors for the UI (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2809), the map for the desert mod, the http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24606 mod, graphics extender support (required for Realistic Health/Fatigue...one or more of those for special shader effects), experienced based training that simply changes how you are able to get training, training center just adds a building out in the world to train skills...I guess lots of deactivating, loading, quiting, deactivating, quiting, loading, etc has to be done.

The first two digits are the mod the weapon is defined in. But as the above suggested you should install FormID Finder or RefScope.


FormID finder will give you the path of the missing weapon (I don't think RefScope does that), they both will tell you which mod the weapon comes from.

Yep refscope does that. One thing refscope can do that formid finder can't (at least since I last used it) is tell you what mod the item was added by.

I don't know what just happened but my mod list just turned lots of red with the BOSS readout having this line for every entry:

Program error - file (insert mod name) could not have its date changed, code -1

When I activate FormID Finder the Oblivion Graphics Extender Support mod just below it turns red.

I haven't done a thing. Dozens turned pink background while that one turned red. I unchecked FormID but others are still pink.

If you use Wrye Bash you need to untick the 'lock times' box which is... somewhere. I think by default it is ticked.

I didn't change anything from before. All was fine until I did this.
The game still loads..

To be clear, I had the game loaded, alt tabbed to post, installed FormID, closed the game, activated FormID, ran BOSS, noticed all those lines, then looked at WB mod tab to see all those mods turn pink/red.

Clicking the Mod Checker button returns no warnings. I unloaded all mods in WB, then only clicked bash patch. It still shows pink for many. It is something was not able to be written to a record or something. I didn't have any time conflicts like this before doing the install. I am going to try and redo the bash patch.

Well red boxes is supposed to indicate missing masters so I'm not sure what you did. Click on one that has a red box and look on the right side under masters and see what it says there.

Who knows...I also noticed that those that were so called "unrecognized" are now not in that category.

This "Red-signed" thing is, i guess, just that some mods share the same timestamp with other mods. Afaik nothing really bad. Dont know if you can somehow correct this automaticly but actually you can do it manually. Just correct the Timestamps via Wrye Bash (in The Right Box you see it,just correct it for a view seconds and save.) I dont remember correctly what i′ve done to solve the whole thing, but it has something to do with lock times. Just uncheck it. Should be happened through the new Boss-Loadorder and has nothing to do with the FormId finder.
And Boss puts every unrecognized Mod below the Bashed Patch,so absolutely normal. Just look for yourself where it was or should be.

Ok...I think I should have been told that you can't run TES4Edit at the same time.
There was this little Python window open in the background that mentioned unable to access a file/record.
I closed TES4Edit and all turned grey so I rechecked them all, rebuilt patch, and all is fine.

Now back into the game to get that ref id done...

BTW I only have this esm loaded as a requirement for another mod. No other BC files are in the load.

I guess I should extract that sword nif then from the other BC files?

I am guessing that for some reason TIE needs some other thing used on hired guards that maybe is being referenced....making this all up as I have no idea like I said...I am not a modder.

I forgot it could be an issue with them having the same timestamp good call on that. To unlock times right click on the bar that says files and uncheck lock times then run BOSS again. It's normal for some mods to be loaded after the bashed patch by BOSS but if they are unrecognized by BOSS they should be moved above the bashed patch and then reported to the BOSS thread to be added to the masterlist.

edit: yes just get that file from the BC archive if you still have it. Did you install it manually by any chance because it's far easier to make an omod.
edit2: well I just realized that BC is packed in BSAs so I'm at a loss for what you should do next.

I already know about the lock times.

I was just looking in the BC files and yes, all things are BSAs, no texture files. I would load my BBC if I could but if I remember correctly it clashes with some other things I have loaded. I don't know what else to do. I know TIE is based off vanilla and is only an esp.

I found via Google http://forumplanet.gamespy.com/morrowind_technical_problems/b49680/19614818/p1/ for that nif name and it was for Morrowind.

BTW the mod that requires the BC Resources single esm is http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14761. BC isn't required to run the mod, just that file. It helps if you have BC fully loaded to take advantage off all the lights.

Here is what I would do:

  • Install the BSAs
  • Redate them to 01-01-2006 (download a tool that can do this)
  • Rename them to xulTheHeath - whatever they are named now.bsa (this is to load the bsa last)

this will ensure that the game has any missing resources, and that anything else that conflicts with it "overwrite" it.
