Hi How do I do to make an actor perform an action while I watch?

I mean I do not need anything like heavy scripting , quest making etc , I just need to record some actors doing something for making a movie / trailer , and is not something that will stay in a quest or the like, I so need something to make quickly and easily make an actor run there while I have the time to record with camera or make the actor use some furniture etc ...

any ideas?
