how to get around atronach sign ?

i love being a altmer born under the atronach it helps with thier weaknesses to magic and gives them a huge mp pool but that stunted magic can be a pain at times i normally use shrines and alters to refuel my mp when im in town and attack my summons when not in town but i was thinking of another way but i dint know if it would work like think it will so im comming to you guys im probably gonna get flamed to death for not knowing this already but if i made a spell that did 1-5 damage for lets say 30 seconds if the spell absorbtion kicked in would it absorb my mp over time because of the spell doing damage over time or just absorb based on the cost of the spell thanks for the help in advance

If you're talking about throwing your own spell on yourself, then you won't absorb it at all. If you are talking about someone else throwing a damage-over-time spell at you, then you would absorb it based just on the cost of the spell, and the spell would have no effect.

k thanks i was talking about casting it on myself i figured what i was thinking would be to good to be true o well ill just have to refuel my mp with summons and alters like i always have

Alchemy.

I also have a summon wraith for 15 secs. Summon -> attack it -> it shoots you with magic -> regenerating your magicka.

i always used fire atronachs but sometimes they tried to hit me instead of shoot me lol

Yeah, that is why the wraith is more ideal for regeneration purposes, because it's slow, it will only hit you if it manages to get close to you.

There's an "exploit" involving too much alcohol, but I'll save that for the Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers forum.

The Paralyze spell that Scribs use is a nice one to soak up, and they rarely do enough damage to be a threat after you've levelled up a couple of times. What little damage they do, an Engraved Ring should take care of, without resorting to burning all that freshly acquired magicka on healing spells.
