So, I was really psyched to have CuSith as my pet. But he ran off and tried to solo a dragon and is now unfortunately dead. Thinking that I could ressurect him, I used Vampire Servant on his body and he came back ... for a while... then promptly turned to ashes when I zoned somewhere.

I know there are 2 vampire dogs in Harkon's castle, and they both have died under my care. Is there a console command to bring them back, or a mod/plugin to make it so they're a little more resistant to damage?

Could just make them essential so they don't die.

I'm pretty sure there will be a mod that makes the death hounds stronger. But if CuSith dies he doesn't respawn. You could always use console commands if your on PC I guess.

Two commands, actually. Try this:

help CuSith

(This will output the dog's ref ID)

then

player.placeatme XXXXXX 1

(Where XXXXXX is the ID number; this will create one CuSith...or anything else, at your location)

OPTIONAL

To help prevent save game bloating, get rid of the dog's corpse. Open the console, click on it and type "markfordelete"

Then, after you use the above commands, type:

Setessential [CuSith's ID] 1

Type that, and he cannot die ever again.
