How do I get Lydia out of my house?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 5:25 am

She just stands in doorways and over my bed. She's really intrusive and in the way. How can I kick her out?

1. She's a HOUSEcarl. She is there to server you and 2. Buy a bigger house and move out of the shack you are in. :P

Take her to another room/or outside and tell her to wait. Now she won't move. Not rocket science.

I like to think of her as a guard to the chest that I have in the room.
There's so much stuff in there, you probably want somebody to watch it.

Also, it's completely free, so I'm not complaining.

I'm thinking of taking her on a dangerous dungeon crawl -- and making no effort to protect her.

I did the same. I didn't want to do it, but she left me no choice.

...Then I dragged her body to the small bedroom in Breezehome and shut the door. No one goes in there until a corpse decay mod is created. On the bright side, she left me an inheritance. :D

I'm kind of used to her sitting in that chair. I figure you can use your own imagination as to where she is when you go to bed.

I like to think of her as protection from an assassin or those that accidently follow me into the house.

I told her to follow me and told her to wait just outside her room (I tried to get her to follow me in, but I guess it's too cramped for two). If she'll stay still and not knock anything over, I'm willing to have her in the house, but she does have annoying AI. Part of the problem is that Breezehome is slightly too small for the amount of furniture it contains. It's attractive and nicely decorated, but I'm constantly afraid I'll bump into something and have fruit basket upset on my hands. The spaces between things may actually be large enough for that not to happen, but they don't "look" large enough.

When you say kill her do you mean let her be killed by some other character or creature? because I didn't think you could actually kill her off she'll just revive.

As I never really go into my house, I don't have a problem. And she's good for a bit of backup I guess.

Cant you just ask her to follow you and then lead her to a dangerous place to let her die? I lost lydia on my first character and it was not on purpose...

believe me, you can kill her. many times i've one-hitted her when engaging enemies, she just likes to get in the way.
although i really like her company ... i seem to have lost her. can't find her anywhere. just hope she's hiding and not dead in some dungeon ... I gave her some pretty sick gear that i want back for my next slave -.-
