How to get rid of the dog? : Fallout 4

I already built him a dog house but when i fast travel he is there again. I can't give him orders too. I wanted to pick the lone wanderer perk

I'd guess talk to him and dismiss him

When you hover over him it should say 'command', select him and choose 'stay'. If that doesn't work I have no idea, I haven't been able to command him in build mode, so maybe that's something to consider. Good luck ridding of the mutt lol.

It's the stay command as aforementioned by previous posts. I found that by selecting 'stay' & then running away from his direction you'll suddenly get a Go command appear, but that disappears the further you get from the dogs location. Then try fast traveling.
