It puts the marker on a raft at cottonwood cove but I cant use the raft. I tried going through hoover dam but that didnt work. What do I do?

There should be a guard around or such that you'll need to talk to to get across, unless you've already heavily annoyed Caesar's Army by killing them in the Wasteland and what not.

Im neutral with cottonwood cove. There is no guard by the raft. On the beach there is.

Yeah there is no guard by the raft and the leader at cottonwood cove glitched. It keeps saying barter. I dont know if that makes any difference

Is there another way to get to the fort cause I have asked everybody and nobody is helping me get across.

In my first play through I killed everyone at cottonwood and used the raft without the ferryman. If you don't care about the legion you could slaughter them all.

You might be able to teleport your self there if you're on the pc..

Lol nice. No im on an Xbox 360. ummm on your PC where is the ferryman? I tried walking on the raft and nothing came up. Is something suppose to come up?

The ferryman would have been at the end of the docks. The raft came up as a transport object, like a door. I did have boone with me at the time so that might have played a part in it.

There is a raft but no ferryman. I cant do anything with the raft. Where do I get boone at?

Boone is in novac he is the night time sniper but you don't need him I just went and killed the ferryman then used the raft to travel to the fort.

I wondered the same thing, didn't know how to get the raft moving. Though when I looked straight down while standing in the center of it, it let me activate it.

On a side note, I was enemies with Legion from the beginning, so I killed everyone in Cottonwood and took the ferry by myself.
