How Do I Get the Refraction Shader Back?

As most probably remember, in the original, unpatched version of Oblivion, Chameleon (and Invisibility) spells used a refraction shader which caused the caster to appear somewhat like Predator, rather than scaling transparency according to the effect's magnitude. The official patches (all of them) changed that, making Chameleon behave the way it did in Morrowind (i.e. causing the caster to become partially transparent based on the Chameleon effect's percentage). Many players prefer that change. I don't. I actually liked the refraction effect better, despite the fact that 5% Chameleon looks the same as 100% or Invisibility. Can anyone tell me how to get the refraction shader back without reinstalling the unpatched version of the game? Ideally, I'd actually like Chameleon spells to use the refraction shader and Invisibility spells to remain as they are in the patched version. Failing that, I'd settle for both spells using the refraction shader again. Anyone know how to do this?
