It's fine.

As you've undoubtedly heard, being built around the 360 makes it easy for most PCs to run.

Debatable. It depends on how well the developers port the game.

GTA IV was made for Xbox 360, but computers twice as powerful as mine had stutter and lag. (And i'm guessing my computer is 3x more powerful than the 360)
The PS3 port of GTA IV svcked too. So yeah, it all depends on how well the devs port the game, and how efficient the port is with the new hardware's processing power.

You forget. These devs arnt terrible at making a game.
Rockstar always left holes big enough for a tanker to pass...

It'll be fine.

What is your monitor display resolution?

You should be able to get playable frame rates at 1920x1080, all detail settings maxed, but it will run a lot better with some settings reduced.

Not sure if you already bought these components, but if you are still planning, you might want to consider a GTX 460 instead which is almost the same price but a lot faster than the GTS 450.

In any event the GTS 450 is also a DX11 card, so you will benefit from DX11 optimization features in Skyrim.

I think the weakest part to your list has to be your processor. Despite this, I'm sure your rig should be able to run Skyrim.

Since I too wan't to know if my Pc will run skyrim, but don't want to spam the forums with another "How good is this rig?", i'll post my specs here:

Intel Core i5 processor 650
Nvidia GeForce GT320 1024MB
4 GB DDR3

I'm not sure If I should just play it on my Xbox 360 or in this PC.

Thanks for your help.

I think I'll be fine. I use the classic Crysis, Oblivion, and WoW all running at highest settings at the same time test to judge that. No lag so far :)

You may want to double check to make sure your TV is 1366x786. I'm not familiar with any TVs at that resolution. It will probably be either 1920x1080 or 1280x720.

Most HDready tv's have a native resolution of 1366x786.

I don;t know why they do it, since it means it needs to upscale 720p

Increase your RAM and I think you should be fine. I could be wrong, but I believe you just won't be able to run super high resolutions with 8x AA and quality texture filtering on at the same time. On the positive side, at least you're not one of those with the infamous nvidia 250 cards...

Consoles run 2x or so better than equal PC hardware, but it isn’t just API in the way, focus a single spec also matters.

wich is why consoles can last longter than a PC with similar hardware.
and my source is pretty much the best source in the world

4 gb''s will be fine. I doubt 4gb vs 6gb will make no difference whatsoever.

Ok, bare with me please, I'm quite confused here...

I'm just playing football manager 2011 in my Pc with 1366x768 resolution (just checked) but... my TV is HD ready, which means...

It can handle this:
720p HD (1280×720 progressive @50 & 60 Hz)
1080i HD (1920×1080 interlaced @50 & 60 Hz)

But not this:
1080p HD (1920×1080 progressive @24, 50 & 60 Hz)

I took that info from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HD_ready

I hope this answers your question

Thanks a lot for helping me out!

It's HD ready because it supports 720p, which it fus, since it's resolution is greater, at 1366x786.

Just because it's HD ready, doesn't mean it needs to have a native resolution of exactly1280×720 (720p). It can be higher as well, and most HD-ready to have a 1366x786 resolution, as long as they support the 720p

4GB of RAM is plenty for a game. The weakest link in his machine is his GPU. The Nvidia GTS 250 actually scores higher then the GT320 by nearly double in some benchmarks.

OK, the game is probably going to look best at your TV's native resolution (1366x768) and your system should be able to get decent frame rates without any upgrades at all.

Try some demos of a few other 2010-2011 games and most likely Skyrim will not be any more demanding than most other recent games.

Ok, I'll do that, thanks a lot.

So I'm assuming between PC and 360 I should stick with my PC then?

Oh, just another question :teehee: , some of you have mentioned my Graphic card svcks... If it's really worth it I guess I could change it, so... Is there any good price/quality card you'll recomend (more or less 70-100 euros)

I'm afraid some mods will be too much for my Pc!

Thanks for your help everyone!

NVIDIA GTS 450, GTX 460, AMD 5770 will run you around $90 - 150 in the US. Any of those three cards can handle 1920x1080 resolution just fine.

It's possible you might need to upgrade your PSU, however.

Thanks for your help, I think I''ll try the game with my current specs, If I'm not satisfied I'll upgrade... I need to save some money ipso facto.

I'll tell my girlfriend I can't afford to have relationship anymore, spanish girls are VERY understanding... May god have mercy on my soul. :cold:
