Well as the title says, How good was OWB? I have yet to get enough money for the DLC and I'm very curious before I buy it...

frThe best so far and I really enjoyed bot DM and HH its got more humor in it but it made sense in context and Bit Mountain was a wonderful location, combat is scaled so its a challenge and the characters are amazing, the story was good and it was long took me 15 hours and there are still a few side quests left the MQ can be done faster but theres still a good 8 or 9 hours easy there.

Im just about to wrap it up.

DM 9.0
OWB 8.5
HH 7.5

This takes everything into account, from story, to bugs.

OWB is very good, especially if you like heavy combat against high hp/dt enemies. When you step into OWB, you are not in Vegas anymore.

All IMO........

OWB is both lots of new content and, more importantly, lots of new laughs. Take Muggy for example... there should be no question really as to whether or not you buy this DLC ;)

Worth the buy for me. I was more impressed with this DLC than the previous two. It can be challenging, so prepare accordingly (and by that I mean bring A LOT of healing items and ammo).

I think it's really good.

I also think it needs Dead Money to be fully appreciated, as it's heavily story driven, and both are interconnected.

On its own, the story is good, it's challenging, the location is far better than I imagined in aesthetics, it has some cool enemies (heaps of unique ones), cool characters, and a lot of decent exploration.

If you're a Fallout fan, I think it's a must; it adds a lot to it.

I agree with what everyone else has said. OWB is good, very good. There is so much to do, outside the main quest for OWB it will indeed keep you entertained for hours.

If I could give you one piece of adice, no matter what you may be told by certain characters in OWB, you should indeed get out there and explore Big Mountain. You never know what you could find. :disguise:

OWB: 8.3
Dead Money: 8
Honest Hearts: 7.5

OWB is not bad but more than that it is quite large to explore (bigger than both Dead Money and Honest Hearts I would argue). Just be aware that the enemies chip away at your health so you underestimate them. It is flawed sure but of all 3 released it is probably the best...although Dead Money comes close. Also no companions may be a plus or minus.

It's good. The humour can get a little old and be prepared to sit through some real long dialogue, but the enemies are good, the weapons are interesting and the place is cool to explore. I have it tied with Dead Money, although I loved DM.

One more thing; the enemies are freakishly tough, unerringly accurate and not to be underestimated. And don't always listen to the med suit. You'll understand it once you've got the DLC.

On a scale from Sink to Toaster, it's Auto-Doc.

IMO I think its the best DLC so far.

1). Challanging combat...don't expect to many one shot kills.

2). Diverse amount of opponents.

3). Large map and they utilized some dungeon aspects as well. Main starting point is in the center which I thought was a nice touch.

4) Good amount of tactical barriers to utilize during combat.

5) A DLC with MUSIC...a little limited but better than nothing.

6) Survivalist friendly like HH....poke around enough and there is food water etc won't be a problem.

7) Good story line.

8) Depending on your play style this DLC can last for a short time or dozens of hours. Personally I have logged 17 hours on this DLC just enjoying it and wandering around.

Personally I thought it was amazing. Heres my points.

1. The sci-fi theme of it was my favorite part. I love how sometimes its goofy and others its serious/deadly, that to me is just the beauty of Fallout in general.
2. A new player home which I believe was much needed and a huge improvement over Lucky 38. imo.
3. A huuuge amount of new interesting and quirky characters, this is another thing that really won me over.
4. Combat is challenging, especially for a CERTAIN LEGENDARY CREATURE which will remain nameless. very difficult :cryvaultboy:
5. There is a lot of content here. This was the longest playing DLC for me so far on New Vegas. Finishing up at roughly 15 hours.
6. The only other thing I can think of for now is the level design and atmosphere were enjoyable for me, and speaking of level design just as someone earlier pointed out it was also nice that the starting point/main area was in the center of the map.

I would highly recommend you get it if at all possible.

OWB 9.2
DM 8 (low replay tho imo)
HH 6

I've put about 10 hours into it so far, mostly exploring.

I think that from a technical point of view, it's the best DLC so far. I'll agree with others here that level design is very well done. New weapons and mobs are interesting, if not completely useful for high level characters. Quests are reasonably well executed FEDEX sorts of things for the most part. Lots pf places to explore, and lots of loot.

However, if you thought that Fallout 2 was to over the top in terms of being silly, You likely won't much care for this DLC. Thee is a lot of silly...everywhere...and, frankly, far too much for me. that's why, i think, I've been ignoring the quests and just exploring.

I've already got it and other DLC's played both HH and DM I liked DM more...
My question is I'm not that interested in new weapons or loot are the creatures bullet sponge difficult or DM find a way to survive asap difficult?
I'm still going to play it but another canyon crawl like HH not bothering to use the new equipment fighting massive health foes is not honestly my favourite idea of FO.

So that said if bullet sponge treking is the dialogue and story as catchy as DM or more so.
