So... Is there anyone on these forums at least having a good Halloween time so far? I'm honestly hating it so much and can't wait for it to get done and over with now.

I've been watching a few horror movies. So far I've watched Norsferatu (1922), Halloween (1978), My Bloody Valentine (1981), The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920), The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) and The Man Who Laughs (1928). I have plans to watch Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931) and the two Silent Hill movies over the next few days.
I haven't noticed anything different. The holiday seems to have died off round here.
Had forgotten about Halloween.
Did lots of Halloween stuff with pupils at school last week.
Trick or Treating has pretty much died off around here.
Even as a kid I never much cared for Halloween. Always wanted to go home long before the other kids in the neighborhood. At school I was always the kid who had the least amount of goodies, and TBPH, I was just fine with it. Never liked begging for stuff from people I didn't know.
I love Halloween. We have almost as many Halloween decorations as we do Christmas decorations, both inside and outside our house, and we're not the only ones in the neighborhood to decorate our home.
Always seemed vaguely alien to me. We never did it when I was younger, and I fail to see any reason to do it now. I'm not even entirely sure when it is.
We had bonfire night, which was for eating treacle and burning catholics in effigy, and that always seemed enough for us.
What has happened?
Once open a time I remember the great joy as I would look forward to this time of year. Not only could I dawn my battle vest (my Punk rock leather and assorted gear) and not get a second glance going out in public, as opposed to having people lock the car doors as i stroll by. BUT also at no other time during the season can you go to your local watering hole and be surrounded by a most expansive collection of cute girls dressed in an array of (typically revealing) costumes. Ohhh the naughty schoolgirl, and nurses, succubi, super girl/cat woman and ohhh the sprites and good witches, Dominatrix's and cheerleaders.
Could it be that the years have made me cold. Or perhaps the thought of picking up another barfly of loose..... Moral character just no longer holds the appeal it once did. Or is it the cynicism of coming to the realization that yes 2-Caps indeed must look better through beer goggles, because the girls I am finding at the bar (surprising, no ) at least the ones that like me are drunks.
Well add to that my neighborhood (where my house is) your just as likely to get home invaded and pistol whipped, as you are to get an actual trick or treat kid.
Bah
Methinks spending the evening in my friends basemant playing board games with all out other friends is a more productive waste of time.
(still love looking at the halloweeny decorations though they make me smile)
Halloween was always my Sons favorite holiday... and as his Birthday is the 22nd, I always managed to have a really cool party for it.. costumes... eye-ball punch, finger sandwiches and all. We did the trick or treat, watched horror movies... and had a blast.
This year my husband and I live on a working ranch ( we rent ) ...we live to far out to have anyone come by. Cow...skunk...possum or coyote, but no kids.
I'm planning to throw candy at children from my balcony again this year.
Less chance of having to make contact with them that way when they beg for free candy. 'Course accidentally hitting them with candy is a risk. My kid sister and nephew are joining me though so maybe it won't be as awkward. (Probably have less candy to give out though)
But... I thought https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzX1DLJom2I
I'm going to watch a few asian horror films and spend a lot of time in The Secret World soaking up the creepy atmosphere.
I remember when I really young and loved Halloween. Especially in the neighborhood I grew up in. Very extensive neighborhood so there were plenty of houses to trick or treat at and most people were really in the Halloween spirit. Even better with my mother as she would make our costumes herself and she always enjoyed how much we enjoyed Halloween. However, we eventually moved to another neighborhood that was not so in the spirit, and that's when I stopped caring for it and I still don't to this day. At most, I watch old horror movies that play on TV and that's about it. But it has never bothered me.
I have to mention this however, as I just got through another session of watching horror movies, but Halloween 3 is awful. I get what they were trying to do with a new story to tell with every sequel, but good god don't even bother if you're going to create a story like that. I was quite upset by the end of it that I actually wasted time watching it. But yeah, horror movies will be horror movies.
I love it too. One of my favorite things about Halloween that gaming developers tend to get creative around this time and release some cool Halloween events for their games... However, the two I've been waiting were? Both of them got screwed over. One was just a stupid idea while the other was done just to screw over the community but at the same time, make money from the community being screwed over.
So I'm not very happy about this at all.
Its raining where I am, it always rains here in Oklahoma around Halloween.
Well. I still get on RuneScape from time to time to check out events. Jagex tends to create amazing events for it. But this one wasn't even Halloween related (Death related at best) and wasn't even good at all.
Then there's the Team Fortress 2 event... Oh by Zaros. Valve completely screwed up Halloween for Team Fortress 2 and possibly more. Making certain items, achievements, etc officially IMPOSSIBLE to get while also making it so that they even make money from people whom are being screwed! So that really got on my nerves. (The new maps and items are nice but the overall Halloween experience is mostly destroyed). Valve is starting to get down on my dislike list.
Looks like if I lived at my old house it would have flooded again.
Halloween's been dead to me since i was 9.
I had one of those scream masks that squirt's fake blood, i loved it.
