How important is apparel customization to you?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:29 pm

I personally hope that Morrowind's style of apparel customization comes back.

I hope we can find out about this soon...

I agree with you I want my person to be unique with whatever I choose for them to wear I should have the optiuon to edit the entire way cloths and armor looks while I wear it, that probably wont happen but I at least would like to choose what I am wearing Morrowind was good for that but I would like even more options on how diverse my character/creation could be. :liplick:

Morrowind was great, but I'd like more. Daggerfall had more than Morrowind. :)

Moderately, I could live without it. But I would like it very high like Morrowind.

Not very important. I'd be happy with a medium like Oblivion. I'd much rather have more customisable options with my house than clothing and armour.

If it's possible, then yes, high customization, because I like having the character look the way I want him/her to. =)

As much as possible!

It's an RPG, customization should always play a big deal!

More then Morrowind. I want dye and or color sliders, for both clothing and (some) armor.

Ideally there would be Daggerfall levels of apparel customization.

I wouldn't criticize the game for having less customization than Morrowind though, as long as it pulled through in other areas.

Yes it would be great I would love an extremely high level of customization higher than Morrowind and mentioned above Daggerfall had an even higher level of customization I want it higher than that to give my avatar a distinct personality that makes them unique. All of this should also apply to the houses that are mine as well.

I would be satisfied with Oblivion style. Morrowind preferable.

This.

My visible gear = unimportant. Ability to customize my house = would be great fun.

I like being able to customize, but individual pauldrons and gauntlets and so on isn't really necessary, I'd be fine with armor being more suit-like - reduces clipping issues. I'd like armor enchants to be more customizable if so though, it'd be nice if the player could create more impressive and interesting stuff than the bland oblivion orb things. Wearing robes and clothing over or under armor is the main thing I'd like improved from Oblivion, would be great and just makes sense, as Skyrim is obviously very cold.

The game will likely played mostly in first person by the vast majority, I don't see why he'd be kidding or why you think that's a ridiculous opinion.

Yeah, personally I like checking from time to time how cool I look in certain armors/robes and so on, but it's easy to see why some players wouldn't care much about the aesthetics of their apparel.

I personally believe that the more customization options that you have available, then that more immersive the game will be. I loved the character and class customizations available in Morrowind and Oblivion. I would love to have the same class customization in Skyrim, and in a manner of speaking it will be there even if the game is defined by how you play. I think having a very defined character class is important to a game like this.

But back to original topic, I think that being able to customize your very armor look would be just more immersiveness to love about this upcoming game.

 It just doesn't bother me. If they had options to dye everything technicolour, wear odd shoes, I'd never use it. The only thing I'd want improved from Oblivion is that trousers shouldn't change to skirts on female characters - I'm not fussed how my character looks normally, but rocking a chainmail tunic and an ankle length skirt is a tough thing to do :P

THis is prolly one of the 5 most important things to me, if we have the same amount of slots as oblivion, I will be really disapointed :( :(

Yes, there were some unisix skirts / trousers in Oblivion, but rare and scattered about; I don't think I ever used them, but I was glad they were there at all.

Give me as much clothing customisation as you can, Bethesda! I'm not expecting Daggerfall levels, of course (though I wouldn't complain!), but it does help with that little personal touch to make my character feel "mine". :)

This is make or break for me. At least as much as morrowind or it's gonna fail in my eyes.
It's understandable in oblivion (new engine, pressed for time, console focused) but it's time for them to step up there game with depth now that they got the engine down pat.
