How do I increase the length of day or time?

Post » Sun Mar 23, 2014 11:53 pm

Thank you to the people who got me re-interested in Skyrim. I will try and play on the PC. I have added some mods in the game. So my question now, is, how to I increase the time, or length of day?

I remember doing it for Oblivion, but I forget how. I now I use the ~ key, but forget the command to do it.

Also if I do this, what are the disadvantages for doing so if there is any.

I want to role play my game more, but I don't like that I eat every few minutes and would actually like to do an actual 24 hour of game time, or at least not so fast of ever 10 minutes is 2 hours or what ever the setting is.

Also for people who do this, why do you do it and do you like it?

Any help would be appreciated.

~set timescale to

20 is default and anything from 1 to 20 is okay just don't set it to lower then 1 or else it will break the game.

This is what I do. For some reason I can't stand using the console. Other folks have no problem with it. But I just hate using it. It takes me out of the game. Plus, mods keep my changes across all my characters.
