It's perhaps more because Morrowind is an older game and if you're still actively involved in the Morrowind community you either have a significant investment in it or you've picked it up as a cult game in which case you're well-informed enough to not do clueless things.
E: This forum is bad enough, though. Compare it to any decent one and it's stiflingly soft-edged.
