BSA unpacker in FOMM is found under the Tools menu on the top.

It's included with this mods set of downloads: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2972

Should I down load the Wav only? Should I also prepare the mono.mp3 files?

Okay. I'm going to type very slowly just for you.

You go http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1418

You download all the track packs and the esp package.

When you have them all, you simply extract the contents of the track packs to your Data folder.

You then extract the esp with 100 in the name to your data folder. You check it in FOMM and launch the game.

That is it. There's no fiddling with BSA unpacker, no wav packs, you download, drag, and drop. Thousands of other people have managed it with no complaints.

The WavPack is supposedly to help prevent some stuttering issues. Works without it, though, because I used it for a week before finding that other mod (which it turns out I didn't need...my issue was from temporarily disabling the Broken Steel Unofficial Patch due to weird crashing issues).

Sorry, but that's not entirely true. There are a couple of songs that need to be renamed in the game's BSA archive. Look at the readme, it's explained quite clearly there.

Really? What readme is that in - something included with the download itself?

I've been running the mod for a long time without any problems, and don't recall doing anything of the sort. A re-read of the instructions on the "Description" tab on Nexus, all sounds familiar as to what I did to get it up and running...

Thanks for bringing this up Thisiswar, I'd skipped this part of the mod installation which I've just corrected. I'll be interested to see if there's much difference. How I unpack a bsa if I need a couple of files in it is, I copy the bsa over to a temporary directory. Right click it and choose open with fomm, it should be there as a selection if you have fomm. Then select the files you want to extract and that's it. Those four files have already been renamed for use in the link showler provided though so they just have to be dropped in the right folder.

This readme:

Extracting Your Files---------------------GalaxyNewsRadio needs 4 files in order to function properly. There are 2methods available to accomplish this. Extract the files from your Sound.BSA, ordownload GalaxyNewsRadio[WAVPack] from Fallout3Nexus.In order to extract the files yourself:1) Get a BSA unpacker. (I recommend FOMM.*)2) Unpack the file ...\Fallout 3\Data\Sound.BSA3) Extract the file ...\Sound\Songs\Radio\Licensed\mus_generic_rhythm_mono.wav4) Rename the file as mus_generic_rhythmforyou_mono.wav5) Extract the file ...\Sound\Songs\Radio\Licensed\mus_generic_rhythm_mono.mp36) Rename the file as mus_generic_rhythmforyou_mono.mp37) Extract the file ...\Sound\Songs\Radio\Licensed\mus_generic_swing_mono.wav8) Rename the file as mus_generic_swingdoors_mono.wav9) Extract the file ...\Sound\Songs\Radio\Licensed\mus_generic_swing_mono.mp310)Rename the file as mus_generic_swingdoors_mono.mp311)Place renamed files in folder ...\Fallout 3\Data\Sound\Songs\Radio\Licensed

And yes it does come with the download. Don't just rely on the Nexus descriptions, not everyone has a detailed readme there. They save that for a file in the download.

It's not critical though. The consequence of not doing it is two songs don't play on world radios.

Use all the files provided because the game uses them in different ways.

The section on preparing your music files is only for people that want to include their own music instead of using the songs downloaded from TESNexus.
